Ecwem is a card deck designed to expand value of the existing suit collection method. This deck contains 28 total suits. There are 24 alphabetical suits: Each of the alphabetical suits has a defining letter (no X or Z) and contain 11 cards, numbered 1-10 and an additional X card. X cards are typically used as wild cards within the suit itself.
The letters are used for card games with a hierarchy. For a traditional playing card deck the hierarchy highest to lowest is Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs or reverse alphabetical. The Ecwem deck uses the same method highest to lowest are reverse alphabetical. Similarly to the traditional playing card deck, the alphabetical suits are divided into red or black with 12 suits in each. Red suits have sharp edges and use warm colors, black suits have rounded edges and use cool colors.
Outside of the 24 alphabetical are the 4 Ecwem Suits or wild suits. Ecwems sits atop the hierarchy, while [ ] or "blanks" sits at the bottom. Ecwem and [ ] are used as wilds for every suit. Ecwem Reds is the top of the red suit cards, with Ecwem Blacks atop the black suit cards. Ecwem Reds are only wild for red suits, while Ecwem Black are only wild for black suits. Having a hand of 4 Spades with an Ecwem Red does not give a player a flush, the player would still need another spade or different Ecwem Suit. Unique to the two suits, Ecwem Reds and Ecwem Blacks may be discarded where other wilds may not be.
The deck arrives with 10 playable games, but may be playable with most traditional playing card deck games. Where a game requires 1 deck or 2 decks of traditional playing cards, the Ecwem deck would require 1 suit or 2 suits per player.
